I bring communications leadership, program design, and engagement expertise to the intersection of science, policy, and sustainability.

I transform lofty systems change objectives into action pathways and messaging that bring impact to scale. This requires a bridging of three worlds—program design, impact strategy, and communications—to seed behaviour change and incite systemic shifts for our planet. I work with folks who don't believe in business as usual—they might even be trying to make the world a better place. My job is to make sure they never say it like that.

I bring 13+ years of experience guiding ambitious projects across the spectrum of “impact,” from food systems and ocean restoration to digital sustainability and corporate responsibility. I am also a seasoned team lead with experience managing globally dispersed, multilingual teams across an array of high-intensity programs. My favorite projects forge a strong, reciprocal relationship between programming, network engagement, and positioning.

Right now, I am the Director of Strategic Engagement at COAST, Pacific Canada's hub for the sustainable blue economy. Along the way, I've gotten to collaborate with IBM, the United Nations, Future Earth, GE, B Lab, the Skoll Forum, the McConnell Foundation, the Obama Foundation, and Sustainable Ocean Alliance. Together, our work has landed in Forbes, National Geographic, Slate, CBC, Huffington Post, TechCrunch, Fast Company, and many more.

I'm concurrently working towards my Masters degree through Harvard’s flagship sustainability program, where I focus on the intersections between regional marine policy and climate innovation. In my free time, I'm often mistaken for a seal while questing for nudibranchs, new seaweed varieties, and the elusive giant Pacific octopus in in my current home on Vancouver Island.
